KIDS! @ your library®

Posted in Resources at 11:25 pm by Paloma Cruz

The American Library Association has launched a KIDS! @ your library® to help libraries market their services to young readers.

Special thanks to Library Marketing for pointing me to this.

ALSC’s @ your library® initiative will provide promotion tips, sample press materials, downloadable art, and other tools to help local libraries reach out to kids, their parents and caregivers.

Our goal…all school age children will use their public library! Parents will know that taking their kids to the library is one of the best and most important things they can do for their children.

Some things that will help:

Kids! @ your library® is being developed by children’s librarians for children’s librarians. Stay tuned to this Web page for more resources as they develop. In the months to come, we will be posting a Tip Sheet, a downloadable campaign song created just for us by Grammy-nominated singer and storyteller Bill Harley!, and a tool kit, including sample press materials, strategies for promoting your services to children and their families, and examples of exciting programs and stellar Web sites.
